Welcome to Rosebud-Lott Middle School. I am excited to share a little information about our school. We have high academic, behavioral, and extra curricular expectations for all of our students. We want all of our students to exhibit "Cougar Pride." Our mission is to create a supportive learning environment that nurtures self-esteem and physical well being, while enabling students to reach their fullest academic and social potential. We at RLMS accept the responsibility for preparing students in a changing world. Our staff will work to ensure the district motto, "All children can learn."
All of our students receive daily instruction in Mathematics, Science, English / Language Arts, Social Studies, and Technology.
7th Grade students can choose between physical education and athletics. 7th graders can also choose one elective (Art, Band, or Theatre Arts).
8th grade students can also choose between physical education and athletics and one elective (Art, Band, Theatre Arts, Introduction to AG, or Spanish 1).
Our school day starts at 7:45AM with Breakfast and ends at 3:26PM. We have a 20-minute tutorial period built into our daily schedule where students can receive extra help on assignments. MacBooks are available for student use in the classrooms.
We utilize RSCCC as a gradebook and for attendance records. As a part of the RSCCC program, parents can utilize the Parent Portal which allows them to see real time grades and attendance via the internet. We also understand that not all households have internet access. In these cases, it is vital for parents and school staff to develop open dialogue about a student through meetings and phone conversations.
RLMS has a school nurse on campus daily. We also have a full time counselor available to meet the needs of our students.
We encourage all of our students to be actively involved with the school. The following are different clubs and organizations for them to join or participate in:
It is our goal that the middle school experience is positive. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to drop by the school or call me at (254)-583-7967.
